Groundwork Training has been working in partnership with Adult Community Learning North East Wales (ACL) to deliver a range of funded courses in Flintshire and
Wrexham for those aged over 19.
Adult Community Learning North East Wales is a joint venture between Flintshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council to provide the very best adult learning opportunities and outcomes in the local communities.
IT and digital skills courses have been an important part of the programme particularly for older people. The courses have improved confidence of learners in using IT. Course content ranged from navigating a Chromebook, tablet, or smartphone, to using social media, being safe online, and effective web searches.
These IT and digital skills courses have been a key part of the employability support for groups of Afghan and Ukrainian refugees in Flintshire that Groundwork Training has
worked with through the ACL partnership.
- Attendees took part in accredited Level 1 IT related courses, to assist with improving IT skills and improving reading and writing skills.
