Groundwork North Wales, in collaboration with Wrexham Growing Spaces and Low Carbon Communities, is excited to announce the launch of weekly community garden sessions at the newly developed Community Garden.

Led by Amanda, Volunteer Coordinator and Events Lead, these sessions offer a welcoming environment for all community members to connect with nature, learn new skills, and shape a vibrant green space together.

The sessions are completely free and open to everyone, with no prior gardening experience required. Participants can take part in hands-on growing activities, garden art projects, or simply relax and enjoy being in a supportive outdoor space. The project also aims to foster long-term community action by offering guidance and support for those interested in forming a local community garden group.

“This is an amazing opportunity to bring people together, create something special, and inspire long-term local sustainability,” said Amanda. “We want to work alongside the community to co-create the space from the ground up. A place where people can grow, connect, and thrive.”

The gardening sessions will run for six months, providing a unique chance for community members to get involved in shaping the garden’s future. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, there’s something for everyone.

The first session kicks off on Wednesday 12th March, and community members are encouraged to join in or spread the word to friends, family and local groups who might be interested. Your support in helping us make connections within the community and promoting the sessions would be greatly appreciated.
