It was started to arm individuals and families with useful information that they can use throughout the year, especially during the colder months.

With energy costs continuing to be a concern for many, Groundwork North Wales’s free advice service is more critical than ever.

Here at Groundwork North Wales, we run a free energy advice service called LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership), empowering individuals and families to take control of their energy use, save money and lower their carbon footprint.

Energy Saving Trust and Citizens Advice have teamed up to highlight their top tips for heating your home:

  • Check your radiators
  • Check your boilers flow temperature
  • Keep your heating set at the lowest comfortable temperature
  • Book in a boiler service
  • Don’t rely on portable electric heaters

Jacob, Energy Advisor at Groundwork North Wales, said:

“We know how challenging energy costs can be, especially during the colder months. That’s why we’re here to provide practical, tailored support to help people save energy and money without compromising on comfort.”

A trained advisor can assist in a tariff review, accessing discounts, reducing water tariffs, fitting small energy efficiency measures and dealing with fuel debt. The advisor can also refer you to other agencies for additional support.
