Stanley is a trustee for Groundwork North Wales and is responsible for sustainability issues.
A retired University lecturer and Ph.D. chemist, I taught environmental pollution and management, as well as chemistry. I chaired Wrexham Local Agenda 21 (LA21) project over 12 years from 1996, and during this time it became the Wrexham Sustainability Forum.
Following my work with Wrexham LA21, I was invited to join Groundwork North Wales as a Trustee and saw it as a complementary role in the general area of “sustainability”. I am very proud and pleased to be a Trustee of Groundwork North Wales. Over the years it has made a positive difference in communities across North Wales and beyond and continues so to do.
I am also currently Chair of Erlas Victorian Walled Garden, Wrexham. This friendly, safe, renovated garden hosts disabled adults on a daily basis. In addition, I have also recently been Chair of Wrexham U3A and am currently Secretary.
