Wild Ground have finished another successful summer full of family friendly community events.
Every year Wild Ground puts together a programme of free nature-based activities across Flintshire, Denbighshire, and Wrexham. These events are usually well attended, and this year was no different with most of our events being fully booked.
We kicked off the summer by making summer scrapbooks at Lane End before heading over to Glascoed for a bug hunt. Some of our summer highlights included den building, making fairy doors, and creating nature themed photo frames. Thank you to everyone who attended, we received great feedback and can’t wait to welcome everyone back onto our reserves in autumn half term.
‘It was fab! The activity was lovely and the children were really focused on their craft. It was a unique idea and we all enjoyed it. Ruth and Ian were great, thank you.’ – Nature photo frame attendee
‘The boys and I loved catching the bugs and identifying them. It has been really fun and interesting finding out more about local nature. The boys loved the UV pen surprise! :) Thank you’ – Bug hunt attendee
