Over the summer holidays, Wild Ground hosted a total of 20 events aimed at engaging families in outdoor activities.
We kicked off the summer holidays with a ‘summer scrapbooks’ event held on Knowle Hill. The children chose ten activities, they wanted to take part in and turned them into a scrapbook, activities ranged from paddling in a river to taking part in a butterfly count, all were aimed at getting children outdoors and engaged in their environment. Over the course of the summer we held several other craft events on our reserves including dream catchers and suncatchers which encouraged children to explore and experiment with natural materials.
If you’re looking for something fun to do this half term, why not join book onto one of our October/ Halloween themed events?
