Level 2 Food Safety in Catering

This course will benefit all employees at all levels, particularly those who old or will hold a food safety role within their catering organisation. The importance of food safety in catering is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.

Syllabus

  • The subjects covered on this course includes:
  • How individuals can take responsibility for food safety
  • The importance of keeping him/herself clean and hygienic
  • The importance of keeping the work areas clean and hygienic
  • The importance of keeping food safe

Duration

A minimum of 6 contact hours in a classroom.

Numbers

A maximum of 16 learners can be accommodated on this course.

Certification

A level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (RQF) will be issued upon successful assessment. This qualification does not expire. It is recommended that learners attend refresher courses to keep up to date with the changes in polices and procedures.
