The Buckley Community Garden project will transform the space at the rear of Refurbs Repair and Reuse centre.
The area will become a community garden that complements the existing Refurbs and Repair centre wth Cafe and will bring colour and life to the town centre.
The garden will provide an attraction for people to visit as part of a trip to the town centre where they can view the plants, relax in a natural setting, or enjoy food and drink from the Caffi Cyfle. The space will also be the venue for volunteering activities or events, and where bespoke activities for local groups such as youth groups or people experiencing health challenges can be delivered.
The garden will include accessible raised beds, a variety of plants, fruits and vegetables, including sensory plants such as grasses and scented herbs/shrubs, paved seating areas, greenhouse/grow frames, window box planters, and a wildlife area planted with pollinators and wildflowers.
The project has been made possible thanks to funding from Flintshire County Council and the Welsh Government.
