On Saturday 10th May, we turned back the clock and embraced the spirit of the 1940s to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a nostalgic afternoon tea. Caffi Cyfle, Buckley, was decorated with Union Jacks, helping to set the scene for an afternoon of reflection and celebration.
Guests joined us for a specially curated afternoon tea, which was available to pre-book, which featured a menu inspired by classic wartime favourites. Each afternoon tea stand was brimming with:
🥪 Ham & pickle, egg mayo, and cheese savoury sandwiches
🥧 Homity pie
🍪 Rock cake, fruit loaf, and a zesty lemon curd muffin
🍮 Traditional trifle
🥗 Garnishes of fresh salad and crisps
☕ Served with your choice of coffee or tea
