Groundwork Training has celebrated Intergenerational Week (24th-30th April), with free wellbeing sessions on social media spotlight.
Intergenerational Week is an annual campaign highlighting the importance of meaningful connections between generations across the globe. It aims to combat ageism and reduce social isolation by encouraging communities to get involved through social media and events in the community.
Throughout the week, Training has been running a social media campaign, following the theme of the day. From celebrating Caffi Cyfle as part of Spaces & Communities, to Challenging ageism by sharing one of our learners' thoughts on learning, confidence and how age should never be a barrier. Shining spotlights and raising awareness each day for Intergenerational Week.
Training also delivered a Wellbeing course at Penycae Football Club, as part of the celebrations. Learners had a peaceful and informative session by tapping into their creativity with glass painting, whilst talking about the impacts of meaningful connections between generations.
