Get Online Week takes place between October 19th–25th, 2026, empowering people to bridge the digital divide in just a week.
Get Online Week, organised by Good Things Foundation, is the UK’s largest digital inclusion campaign. By supporting this unique initiative, Groundwork Training will be helping individuals in local communities to enhance their digital skills, gain access to online resources, and become more digitally confident.
Get Online Week has been a yearly event since 2007, aiming to bridge the digital divide by providing free, community-based digital skills training across the UK. With 8.5 million people in the UK lacking the basic digital skills needed for everyday tasks, community organisations, libraries and other partners will host free local events to support people to get online, build confidence and learn new digital skills.
During this weeklong campaign, Groundwork Training will be offering free digital skills sessions for all levels. These community sessions will provide practical information and hands-on support, from how AI can improve your CV to how to stay safe online.
Events:
⚙️Monday 19th October 10am – 12pm AI & Your CV at Daniel Owen Centre
💻 Friday 23rd October, 10am – 12pm Staying Safe Online at Refurbs Buckley
All sessions will offer a welcoming environment where individuals can learn at their own pace, ask questions, and gain the confidence to explore the digital world.
