Groundwork North Wales is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Youth Engagement Lead to support the delivery of environmental and conservation volunteering opportunities for young people across North East Wales.

 

Job Title: Youth Engagement Lead

Location:  Groundwork North Wales Offices, Wrexham (with delivery across Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire)

Responsible to: Community Learning Manager

Number of hours per week: Up to 37.5 hours per week (flexible evening and occasional weekend working required)

Salary: £27,500

This role will work with the Reserves Team to support volunteers who are younger and also those of all ages who are neurodivergent or living with mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, low confidence, or social isolation, which can make joining a volunteer group feel overwhelming.   

What We're Looking For

A qualified Youth Worker (minimum Level 3) with experience of engaging young people and adults facing barriers to participation, learning or employment. You'll have experience of working with young people in the community - either in youth work or informal education settings as well a strong person-centred approach to supporting individual development and progression.

This role will involve regular delivery in outdoor environments and community venues throughout Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire.
