Are you passionate about nature conservation and inspiring others to protect the environment? Wild Ground is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Reserves Officer to lead the management and enhancement of our nature reserves across North Wales to cover a period of maternity leave.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Reserves Lead for up to 12 months to oversee the management and conservation of Wild Ground's nature reserves across North Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team delivering habitat management, biodiversity conservation projects, wildlife monitoring and community engagement activities.

Job Title: Senior Reserves Officer (Maternity Cover)

Location:  Groundwork North Wales Offices, Wrexham  

Responsible to: Head of People, Governance & Conservation 

Responsible For: Reserves Officers x2, Environment Projects Coordinator, Project Participants & Volunteers.

Number of hours per week: Full time - 37.5 hours 

Salary: £29,000

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and delivery of practical conservation work, managing reserve operations, supporting environmental projects and supervising staff, volunteers and trainees. This role is ideal for someone with strong conservation knowledge, excellent leadership skills and a passion for protecting and enhancing the natural environment
