This is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace. This qualification would benefit any worker, in any industry or sector, particularly those who will be accepting a health and safety role for example safety representative in their organisation.

Syllabus

The subjects covered on this course includes:

  • The roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
  • The value and process of risk assessment
  • The identification and control of workplace hazards
  • How to respond to workplace incidents and accidents

Duration

This is a 1-day classroom-based course.

Numbers

A maximum of 16 learners can be accommodated on this course.

Certification

A level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) will be issued upon successful assessment. This qualification does not have an expiry date. It’s recommended that learners attend refresh courses to keep up to date with change in policies and procedures.
