Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

Where an organisation's risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then these national awards for Emergency First aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid - the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with emergency First Aider's that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Resuscitation and AED awareness
  • Anatomy
  • Minor injuries
  • Bleeding control
  • Burns
  • Choking
  • Epilepsy
  • Shock

Duration

A minimum of 6 contact hours in a classroom.

Numbers

A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course.

Certification

A level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will be issued upon successful assessment. This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of completion. The learner will need to complete the course again to requalify for a further 3 years. It is strongly recommended that learners attend annual refresher training.
