This essential training will equip school professionals with the skills and knowledge required to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities outlined by the new standards.

Group C practitioners are those who have a direct responsibility for safeguarding individuals, particularly those involved in assessing, advising, and decision-making roles in the safeguarding process. These practitioners often include:

  • Individuals who assess risks linked to safeguarding concerns
  • Professionals who provide safeguarding advice to Group A and B staff
  • Those managing or supervising environments where safeguarding issues may arise
  • Designated safeguarding leads and decision-makers in safeguarding matters

The course is specifically designed for school professionals who play a pivotal role in assessing, planning, intervening, and reviewing cases where safeguarding concerns are present. It will provide attendees with the tools to effectively contribute to core group activities and protection planning, helping ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in their care.

Courses will take place on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th November at Alyn Waters, from 9:30am to 2:30pm on both days. The sessions will be capped at a maximum of 16 participants, ensuring an interactive and focused learning environment.

The cost of the course is £95 + VAT per person.

By aligning with the new national standards, Groundwork Training is committed to supporting schools in meeting their safeguarding obligations and creating safer learning environments for all.

Groundwork Training ensures that all courses are relevant, engaging, and specific to the childcare sector, while also offering bilingual delivery. For more information on the Group C Safeguarding Course and how your school can participate, please contact [email protected] or call 01978 757524
