Groundwork Training are delivering book clubs in partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning (ACL).
The Book Clubs are for adults aged over 19 and will take place at Caffi Cyfle, Refurbs Buckley and Caffi Cyfle, Alyn Waters Wrexham in 2023.
ACL is a joint venture between Flintshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council providing adult learning opportunities and outcomes in our communities.
Those over 19 living in Wrexham or Flintshire are invited to bring in their favourite books and discuss what they read each week in a warm, relaxed environment, with tea and coffee provided.
Jo Pearce, Groundwork Training Community Tutor says:
“The purpose of reading is often forgotten due to our school experiences (often negative). It is a great way to relax and promote well-being.
The group has been devised to promote well-being, social interaction and develop literacy skills.”
Groundwork Training will be delivering these sessions at Caffi Cyfle, Refurbs Buckley and Caffi Cyfle, Alyn Waters on behalf of Adult Community Learning (ACL).
Sessions at Caffi Cyfle, Refurbs Buckley will be held every Tuesday morning, 9:30am – 11:30am, starting Tuesday 24th January. Sessions at Caffi Cyfle, Alyn Waters are every Friday afternoon, 12:30pm – 2:30pm, starting Friday 13th January.
