Groundwork Training are introducing two new activities in partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning (ACL) for those over 19 living in Wrexham and Flintshire.

Get Crafty will comprise of free craft sessions centered around the theme of sustainability for over 19s living in Wrexham and Flintshire. For those looking to get involved with crafting, learn new skills, and socialize with others, there will be various sessions taking place over May and June 2023, from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These sessions will be based at Alyn Waters, Wrexham, Refurbs Repair and Reuse Centre, Buckley and Minera Lead Mines, Wrexham.

Get Active will also be suitable for those over 19 and living in Wrexham or Flintshire, with free drop-in sessions on Friday mornings from 10am to 12pm. The 6-week sessions will include various activities, such as cycling, walking, gentle gardening, and armchair aerobics. These sessions will be held at Alyn Waters Country Park, Wrexham.

Teleri Jones, Community Trainer, says: “The main goal of these clubs is to create a space for individuals to learn new skills and socialize with others.”
