Homes & Habitats, Foundation – Key Stage 2
Learners go wild exploring our meadows, woodlands and pond habitats, using their detective skills to:
- discover the different habitats
- gain first-hand experience of where animals can live and how they have adapted to their environment
- Introduce food chains, camouflage and warning colours used for survival
An exciting mix of discovery with a woodland safari, minibeast hunt, shelter-building, pond dipping, and designing a new creature from clay and natural materials to take back to school and continue learning.
Woodland schools, Foundation – Key Stage 3
Woodland School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through, hands-on learning experiences in woodland or in a natural environment with flora and fauna.
Through reflective practice, the goal of the woodland school session is to provide a wide range of opportunities that will enable each learner to flourish, grow and develop into healthy, confident individuals, promoting social and emotional wellbeing with a balanced approach to holistic development.
