Groundwork North Wales provide garden maintenance to shielding residents and NHS key workers in Wrexham

During lockdown Groundwork North Wales your local charity for social, economic, environmental, and cultural wellbeing had to scale back work in line with Covid-19 guidelines. This did not stop them from putting the local community first by diversifying. They applied for funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to allow them to support officially shielding residents and NHS Key Workers.

This support has  come in the form of the Love Your Space Project - Wrexham. The project is supporting officially shielding residents and NHS Key Workers in the Wrexham County Borough with free garden maintenance over the forth coming months.

Project Manager Richard Aram commented “ The support from the National Lottery Community Fund is helping us make a real difference to residents most in need at this time. The team have done some great work”

The project beneficiaries are appreciative of the work the team have been able to undertake. One local resident commenting;

“The garden looks AMAZING! You all did such an amazing job! And in awful weather too! We were so happy! It’s brilliant”
