Children can learn new skills with Groundwork North Wales through their exciting programme of activities taking place over the summer holidays. The activities are happening at Minera Lead Mines and at the Venue in the Park facility at Alyn Waters Country Park.

Unique to the programme this year Groundwork North Wales have added Bushcraft and Graffiti sessions. Both Minera Lead Mines and Venue in the Park, Alyn Waters will be hosting these two activities.

The Bushcraft sessions will consist of campfire building, campfire cooking, den building and knot tying. Giving the children a fantastic experience of these outdoors skills allowing them to learn new skills and explore natural play outside which has a positive influence on their health and well-being.

These sessions take place on Tuesday 6th Aug at Minera Lead Mines 12.30pm-3.30pm. The sessions are for over 8’s there is a £4.00 per child cost please contact [email protected] | 01978 757 524 to book or for further details.

Groundwork North Wales will be welcoming local Graffiti Artist Andy Birch from Dime One North Wales. Children will get to take part in creating a graffiti mural for both sites and create their own graffiti canvas to take away.

The Graffiti sessions will take place on Wednesday 7th Aug at Alyn Waters and on Tuesday 27th Aug at Minera Lead Mines, with morning and afternoon sessions available.
