Groundwork North Wales is looking for Trustees

Groundwork North Wales helps people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, build skills and job prospects and to live and work in a greener way. We are continuously developing and ambitious organisation, looking to appoint new trustees to who can support our development and financial sustainability and who can actively contribute to the governance of a complex organisation.

You will share our passion for community welfare and environmental safeguarding and show a keenness for business development and stakeholder engagement.  You will find being a member of the Board of Trustees at Groundwork North Wales rewarding, with opportunities to develop your own skills and knowledge, working with other Trustees, the Chair and the Chief Executive.

We are looking for experience in any of the following areas:

  • Retail, tourism or hospitality
  • Health
  • Housing
  • Marketing

Key to the effectiveness of this role are significant organisational experience at a senior level and a willingness to contribute wholeheartedly to the functioning of the Board.  A sound commercial background would be an advantage, as would previous exposure to governance, either as part of a Board or working with governors or trustees.

Time commitment?  4 meetings a year,  held during the working day, normally March, June, September and November, together with one Board strategy planning day per year.  The appointment is for a 3-year term, renewable.
