Adult Learners Week takes place between September 15th – 21st, providing a great opportunity to discover passion for learning, improve health and wellbeing, brush up on skills, and much more.

Adult Learners week organised by the Learning and Work Institute, in partnership with Careers Wales and supported by the Welsh Government, is a nationwide celebration of lifelong learning across Wales, aiming to encourage adults of all ages to pursue learning, explore new skills, gain qualifications, and open doors to fresh career opportunities.

During this weeklong campaign, providers will offer a variety of free online and in-person courses, events, taster sessions and resources across Wales throughout the month. With subjects ranging from health and wellbeing to job skills, there’s a learning opportunity for everyone to explore.

As part of Adult Learners Week, Groundwork Training will be offering a series of FREE events and sessions designed to help boost confidence and achieve goals.

On Tuesday 16th September, we’ll be hosting a Coffee, Cake & Collaboration networking event exclusively for third sector organisations. Join us at Wellbeing Hub, Wrexham, 1pm – 3pm for a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and explore how we can work together to support adult learning across the region.

For members of the community, we’re offering two free taster sessions:

  • Interview Techniques
    Wednesday 17th September, Wrexham Library, 1pm - 3pm
  • Essential Skills Workshop
    Thursday 18th September, Refurbs, Buckley 10am - 12pm

These sessions are open to all adults and are a great way to try something new in a friendly, supportive environment.
