Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, Groundwork North Wales is thrilled to launch a brand new project at Refurbs Buckley's Community Garden, designed to enhance local green spaces, promote wellbeing, and bring the community together.
Weekly volunteering sessions will provide opportunities to engage in hands-on activities such as setting up a greenhouse, exploring different soil types, discovering smart watering tips, and learning which plants thrive through the colder months. These sessions will allow volunteers to connect with nature, improve their physical health, and build lasting relationships within their community.
No experience is needed, and everyone is welcome. Volunteers can take part at their own pace and enjoy the chance to connect with others while helping the garden thrive. The sessions will also involve creating colourful garden art to brighten up the space.
By participating in this project, volunteers can enjoy the benefits of outdoor activity and social connection.
