In their continued efforts to tackle loneliness and isolation among older adults in the Buckley community, Refurbs Buckley has added more Winter Warmer sessions.
These events provide an inviting space for individuals aged 55 and over to socialize, meet new friends and enjoy warm refreshments.

These additional sessions have been funded by WCVA, FLVC and Flintshire County Council. The aim is to foster a sense of community and support for those who may feel lonely or isolated during the colder months.
“We’re thrilled to continue these sessions for our community,” Katy Turner, Café Manager, said. “These events have been very well attended, showing how much community events like these are needed.”
There is no need to book for these sessions, simply call in from 12pm – 2pm on the above dates. This initiative highlights the power of local action in building connections and improving mental well-being.
