Refurbs Flint is delighted to announce the upcoming opening of a new Community Fridge in Treuddyn.

This latest addition is part of our ongoing commitment to reducing food waste and supporting local communities.
The new Community Fridge will be located at Hafan Deg Community Centre. It is set to open later this year and will provide residents with access to surplus food donated by local businesses and individuals. The initiative aims to reduce food waste while ensuring that good quality food reaches those who need it most.
Community Fridges are open to everyone and operate on simple principles: to share surplus food, promote sustainability and foster community connections. Visitors are encouraged to take what they need or contribute any excess food they may have.
Refurbs Flint is excited to bring this resource to Treuddyn and looks forward to working with the local community to make the fridge a success.
Lorna Crawshaw, Head of Community Programmes & Partnerships, said “We believe that this initiative will not only help reduce food waste but also support individuals and families facing food insecurity.”
Further details regarding the official opening date and operating hours will be shared soon.
