Refurbs Buckley is inviting the Buckley community to explore the Bikes in Bloom trail, a vibrant community art project transforming the town centre into a celebration of colour, creativity, and sustainability.

From 11th August to 16th August, upcycled bikes will brighten the streets, showcasing Buckley’s community spirit while giving old bikes a new lease of life. Local businesses, community groups, and residents have come together to take part in this project at recent workshops.

This initiative has been supported by Flintshire County Council’s Town Centre Activities and Events Grant, made possible with funding secured from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

Bikes in Bloom gives old bicycles new purpose. The more something is reused, the smaller its environmental footprint. By upcycling bikes past their prime, we’re reducing waste, cutting carbon emissions, and turning everyday objects into joyful works of art.

Call into Buckley town centre this week to see the colourful, upcycled bikes decorated by locals in recent workshops. They will be on display from 11th August to 16th August, with the celebrations culminating in a Summer Market on Saturday 16th August at Refurbs Buckley.

Refurbs Buckley are passionate about supporting local producers and promoting sustainability. At the Summer Market, you can stock up on locally sourced produce, handmade crafts and sustainable goodies.

Let’s come together to celebrate creativity, community, and sustainability.
