Volunteer Week, running from June 2nd to June 8th, 2025, is a time to celebrate the amazing contributions of volunteers across the UK—and the Groundwork North Wales group (including Refurbs and Wild Ground) is excited to mark the occasion.

Volunteers from across the organisation are invited to a celebration event at the Rhydymwyn nature reserve, Nr Mold to honour the invaluable work they have carried out throughout the year. This event will be a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to the many individuals who give their time and energy to help make a difference in our communities.

This year’s event promises to be a memorable occasion, with group activities and refreshments from caffi Cyfle on offer. Volunteers will be personally thanked by Karen Balmer (Group CEO) and members of the Board of Trustees.

Karen Balmer (Group CEO) shared her appreciation ahead of the celebrations:

“We are incredibly grateful to have such dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic of volunteers. Their efforts are central to the success of the Groundwork North Wales group. This annual celebration is a perfect opportunity to acknowledge their commitment and generosity.”
