This September, young people in Wrexham will have the chance to take their first steps into the world of hospitality and catering thanks to a new training programme at Caffi Cyfle, based in the scenic Alyn Waters Country Park.

Groundwork North Wales is offering five part-time trainee positions for individuals aged 18 – 25 who are eager to gain experience in a real cafe environment. The roles, which form part of a fully funded employability and training programme, will give participants the opportunity to build practical skills, gain qualifications, and boost confidence while working alongside a supportive team.

The trainee programme runs for an initial 12-week period, with trainees working 22.5 hours per week. Starting September, successful applicants will join a pathway designed not only to introduce them to the hospitality sector but also prepare them for future employment opportunities.

Katy Turner, Cafe and Conference Centre Manager, said:

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people who are just starting out or those looking for a fresh start. Caffi Cyfle offers a welcoming and supportive environment, and we’re excited to help trainees gain the skills they need for their future careers.

Applications are now open, with a closing date of Friday 12th September 2025 at 12pm.

To apply or find out more, email [email protected] or call 01978 757524 and ask for Katy Turner or Lorna Crawshaw.
