The Clothes Swap Volunteer will play a vital role in the planning and execution our clothes swap events, aimed at promoting sustainable fashion practices, reducing clothing waste and fostering a circular economy.

Purpose: The Clothes Swap Volunteer will play a vital role in the planning and execution our clothes swap events, aimed at promoting sustainable fashion practices, reducing clothing waste and fostering a circular economy.

Location: Refurbs Repair & Reuse Centre, Brunswick Rd, Buckley, CH7 2ED

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This volunteer will assist in organising, setting up, and managing the event to ensure it runs smoothly.
  • Assist in event planning and promotion.
  • Help set up the event space, including arranging and tagging the clothes, laying out tables and keeping clothes rails organised.
  • Greet event attendees and explain the clothing swap rules and guidelines.
  • Accept and organise clothing brought in by participants, including stock monitoring.
  • Keeping track of who has donated what and what they have donated.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer literate.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainable fashion.

 

Reports to: Clothes Swap Session Coordinator

Length of Appointment:  On Going

Time Commitment: 4 hrs twice a month basis.

Qualifications required:  None.

Support / Training offered:

  • Regular support meetings with Clothes Swap Coordinator
  • Range of training provided including practical training.
  • Chance to make new friends and gain experience in a relaxed, supportive, environment.

 

Age Requirement:            18 upwards.

Dress Code:                           Casual clothing (PPE will be provided).

DBS Check required:       No - all work will be supervised.
