We are seeking a flexible and reliable Recycling Services Operative to support various areas of our business. This role is designed to provide cover during staff leave, sickness, and periods of high demand. The ideal candidate will be a strong all-rounder, capable of adapting to different tasks and environments.

Location:  Refurbs Flint,  1-3 Aber Park Ind Estate

Responsible to:  Head of Commercial Services

Number of hours per week: 37.5 hours / Saturday when required

Salary: £24,280 FTE

Purpose of the job:

We are seeking a flexible and reliable Recycling Services Operative to support various areas of our business. This role is designed to provide cover during staff leave, sickness, and periods of high demand. The ideal candidate will be a strong all-rounder, capable of adapting to different tasks and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Control: Assist with inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of materials.
  • Van Driving: Carry out collections and deliveries across designated routes.
  • Contract Support: Provide operational support on Flintshire County Council contracts, including:
    • Void Property Clearances
    • Bulky Household Waste Collections
    • Sofa Deconstruction and Recycling

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing duties

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in different environments and making a positive impact on local recycling efforts.
